Teaching Assistant - Specialist SEND School - Hemel Hempstead
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistants to join the supportive team at a specialist SEND school in the Hemel Hempstead area. This is a full-time position, with working hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Applicants should have previous experience working with children in the UK, ideally within a school or educational setting. Experience supporting pupils with special educational needs is highly desirable. We are looking for individuals who are patient, proactive, and passionate about inclusive education.
The role begins with a two-week paid trial period and is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, subject to the successful completion of the trial.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, helping to meet their individual learning needs.
Work closely with class teachers to promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Support pupils both in the classroom and across the school setting.
Contribute to the academic, social, and emotional development of pupils with SEND.
Collaborate with other Teaching Assistants to ensure consistent, high-quality support for all pupils.
