Do you enjoy working with children and have a passion for food and creativity? We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant / Team Leader to lead our fun and engaging after-school cookery club for primary-aged children.
About the Role:
This is a hands-on, rewarding opportunity where you will take the lead in delivering interactive cooking sessions, helping children learn new skills while building confidence in the kitchen. You will create a positive, safe, and inclusive environment where every child can participate and enjoy the experience.
Working Hours:
Thursday: 15:00 - 17:00
Saturday: 10:30 - 12:30
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, age-appropriate cookery sessions
Lead small groups of primary-aged children in a safe environment
Ensure all health and safety and food hygiene standards are followed
Encourage teamwork, creativity, and independence among pupils
Set up and clear away equipment before and after sessions
Requirements:
Experience working with children (school, club, or similar setting)
A passion for cooking or willingness to learn
Strong communication and leadership skills
A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
Ability to work independently and take initiative
