Teaching Assistant – Primary School – Key Stage 2

Location: Bath, Somerset Salary: £22,737 – £23,114 FTE (pro rata depending on hours) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full Time / Term Time Only

We are recruiting for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive Key Stage 2 primary school in Bath. This role would suit an experienced Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Classroom Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting pupils and helping them achieve their full potential.

The Role – Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Support pupils in Year 3–Year 6 classrooms

* Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging learning activities

* Provide small group and one-to-one support where required

* Help pupils develop confidence in reading, writing and numeracy

* Support classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

* Assist with preparing resources and supporting classroom organisation

The Ideal Candidate – Teaching Assistant

The successful Teaching Assistant will:

* Have experience working with children in a primary school setting (desirable)

* Be passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and development

* Have strong communication and teamwork skills

* Be patient, nurturing and enthusiastic

* Be committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment

Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant are desirable but not essential.
