Are you enthusiastic about supporting young people to succeed? We are looking for a committed and compassionate Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a thriving school in the heart of Barking and Dagenham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in students' lives, providing both academic and pastoral support to help them reach their potential in and beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students across a range of subjects in Key Stages 3 and 4
Deliver targeted interventions for students who need additional help, including those with SEND or EAL
Work closely with teaching staff to plan and deliver inclusive learning strategies
Build strong relationships with students, encouraging their confidence, focus and participation
Assist in maintaining a positive, safe and supportive learning environment
Support behaviour management in line with the school's policies
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have experience working with secondary-aged pupils in a school or youth setting
Demonstrate a genuine passion for helping young people learn and grow
Have good communication and interpersonal skills
Be patient, resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced school environment
Hold (or be working towards) a relevant Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification
Be committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of all students
