Teaching Assistant Opportunities – September 2026 Start

About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

* Support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs)

* Assist pupils with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), ADHD, and Speech & Language needs

* Work collaboratively with teachers to deliver tailored learning support

* Provide both 1:1 and small group interventions

* Support behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies

* Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

* Work flexibly across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3

About You

We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, resilient, and committed to supporting young people with additional needs.

Essential Qualities:

* Experience working with SEMH needs or a strong desire to develop in this area

* Understanding or experience of ASD, ADHD, and Speech & Language needs

* Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

* A calm, patient, and adaptable approach

* Strong teamwork and communication skills

* A proactive and positive attitude towards learning and development
