You will reinforce learning in core subjects, keep pupils engaged during lessons, prepare simple resources, and work alongside the class teacher to support progress. Teaching assistants support teachers in the classroom and help children with reading, writing and learning activities.The Candidate: You are reliable, clear in the way you communicate, and comfortable working with older primary pupils. You enjoy helping children build confidence with their learning, you can adapt to the pace of a busy classroom, and you want school-based experience that gives you a strong foundation for a future in teaching. Primary teachers work with children aged 3 to 11 and support their educational, social and emotional development, which makes KS2 experience especially useful for that route.Requirements Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject. Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication. Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
