About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Level 3 Teaching Assistant with experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). This full-time supply role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of primary schools in the Durham area, with a particular focus on settings in and around DH1.
You’ll have the flexibility to choose EYFS, KS1, or KS2 depending on your strengths, and can opt for morning, afternoon, or full-day assignments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. Deliver targeted interventions and 1:1 support, as well as small group work. Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment. Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils to support their academic and emotional development. Adapt resources and strategies to meet individual needs. Communicate effectively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents.
