Teaching Assistant | SEMH Specialist | Canterbury Academics are recruiting on behalf of a well-respected SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) provision in Canterbury for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support learners requiring targeted social and emotional support.This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who thrives in a positive, inclusive environment and has the skills to nurture confidence, resilience, and academic engagement in children facing behavioural and emotional barriers to learning.The Role: Provide targeted support to pupils with SEMH needs in both small groups and one-to-one settingsHelp deliver personalised strategies to support learning, self-regulation, and positive behaviourAssist with planning, implementing, and adapting lessons under teacher guidancePromote a calm, supportive, and structured classroom environmentBuild strong, respectful relationships with pupils to support emotional wellbeingMonitor progress and contribute to records, reports, and planning meetingsWho we're looking for: Have experience supporting children with SEMH needs (in a school or related setting)Are patient, resilient, and able to respond positively to challenging behaviourWork well independently and as part of a supportive teamHave excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAre committed to inclusive education and empowering every learnerAvailable 5 days per week ** £90 - £95 per day, Mon-Fri, 08:30 to 15:30, PAYE, Term time only** You MUST have right to work in the UK in order to apply - no Visa sponsorshipTo be a Teaching Assistant - Apply now or contact Ollie Mynard at Academics Ltd: Become a Teaching Assistant today!01227 666 555Candidates registering with Academics Ltd will have to apply for an Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check where appropriateJBRP1_UKTJ
