Key Responsibilities of a Teaching Assistant:

Support pupils individually and in small groups, helping them to access learning across the curriculum and running your own nurture group with SEN children. Provide targeted support for children with a range of needs

Work collaboratively with teachers and colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

Support the school's values around anti-racism, equity and community engagement

The Ideal Candidate for this teaching assistant vacancy:

In order to work as a teaching assistant, you must remain positive, resilient and have a caring approach to working with children

Understand how to communicate with SEN children, for example, speaking clearly and concisely to allow children time to process. A team player who is reliable, enthusiastic and proactive

Experience working with primary-aged children is desirable

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistance (or equivalent experience)

A commitment to personal and professional growth
