A specialist secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team, supporting students who have social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who enjoys building strong relationships and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and other teaching assistants to provide consistent classroom support, 1-2-1 intervention, and small group work. Students at this school benefit from a structured and calm approach, with a strong focus on behaviour support, emotional regulation, and re-engagement with education. The school values its Level 3 Teaching Assistants and provides clear guidance, teamwork, and ongoing support.
Job role:
Supporting students with SEMH needs in lessons across the secondary curriculum
Providing 1-2-1 and small group support as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
Supporting students to manage behaviour and develop positive coping strategies
Building strong, trusting relationships with students who may have faced exclusion or disruption
Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and other teaching assistants
Recording progress and sharing feedback with teaching and SEN staffIn return, you will enjoy:
