Teaching Assistant (Autism Support) - Special Needs School, Altrincham

About the Role:
You will work closely with a pupil with autism, supporting their learning, communication, and emotional development throughout the school day. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in helping a young person reach their full potential in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet the pupil's individual needs
Assist with classroom activities and adapt learning materials where necessary
Support the development of communication, social, and life skills
Help manage behaviour in a positive and proactive manner
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs (preferred)
A calm, empathetic, and patient approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive attitude
