Sleep-In Rate: £70.50 per sleep-in

Hours: Variable shift rota across 7 days, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
We are seeking a committed and experienced Team Leader to join a residential childcare provision in Kent. This is a key role within the home, combining hands-on care delivery with leadership responsibility to ensure high standards of safeguarding, compliance, and positive outcomes for young people.
About the Role As Team Leader, you will support the day-to-day running of the home while providing direct care and guidance to children and young people. You will lead shifts, support staff, and help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Provide direct, high-quality care and support to children and young people
Lead shifts and coordinate staff to ensure safe and consistent care delivery
Act as a role model for professional practice and safeguarding
Support care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies
Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
Support inspections and regulatory compliance requirements
Mentor and support junior team members
Requirements Essential:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience working within a residential childrens home
Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Ability to lead shifts confidently and make sound decisions
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
Full UK driving licence
Previous experience in a senior or team leader role
