Team Leader – Children’s Residential Care (Ofsted Regulated) Oswestry Up to £37,600 per annum (DOE) Full-Time | 2 on / 4 off shift pattern (including sleep-ins where required)
Lead and support a dedicated team within a therapeutic children’s residential home
We are recruiting a Team Leader for an Ofsted-regulated children’s residential service in Oswestry, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties linked to trauma, neglect, and adverse childhood experiences.
This is a key leadership role within the home, supporting the management team to deliver high-quality, consistent, and child-centred care.
The Role:
* Lead shifts within a children’s residential home, ensuring safe and effective care delivery
* Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager with daily operational duties
* Supervise, mentor, and guide residential support workers
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and care standards
* Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
* Promote a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach at all times
* Maintain accurate records, reports, and shift handovers
* Support positive routines, structure, and emotional development for young people
✅ What We’re Looking For:
* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (essential)
* Minimum 1 year experience in children’s residential care (Ofsted regulated preferred)
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and Children’s Homes Regulations
* Experience supporting young people with EBD, trauma, or challenging behaviour
* Confident leadership and ability to manage shifts effectively
* Strong communication, organisation, and decision-making skills
* Flexible approach to a 2 on / 4 off rota pattern
