Technical Account Manager | Remote-First (UK)

Manchester base

£60,000 – £65,000

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Account Manager (TAM) to sit at the intersection of service delivery, customer success, and technical pre-sales. You’ll be a trusted technical advisor to our customers, owning relationships, improving environments, and helping accounts grow.


What you’ll be doing

  • Own the technical relationship for a portfolio of customers
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact, building long-term trusted partnerships
  • Ensure services are delivered in line with SLAs and best practices
  • Proactively review customer environments, recommending optimisations, improvements & risk mitigation
  • Lead service reviews, roadmap discussions, and strategic planning sessions


☁️ Technical advisory & delivery

  • Maintain a deep understanding of each customer’s IT environment
  • Translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions
  • Work closely with engineering and service teams to ensure quality delivery
  • Provide hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365 (essential) and cloud platforms


Account growth & pre-sales

  • Identify opportunities to enhance and expand existing solutions (security, cloud, productivity, licensing)
  • Present technical recommendations in a clear, commercial way
  • Support sales with renewals, upgrades, and expansions
  • Join pre-sales meetings, lead technical discovery, and shape solution designs


What you’ll bring

  • Strong experience working in an MSP or IT services environment
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, including:
  • Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Exchange Online
  • SharePoint / OneDrive
  • Teams
  • Security & compliance features
  • Solid understanding of modern infrastructure, identity, security & networking
  • Confident, customer-facing communicator who can translate tech into value
  • Commercial mindset with an eye for value-add opportunities


⭐ Nice to have

  • AWS experience (architecture or customer workloads)
  • Azure, hybrid or multi-cloud exposure
  • Pre-sales or solution design experience
  • Microsoft / AWS certifications
