Our client, a leading organisation within the energy and transmission sector, is looking for an experienced Technical and Engineering Director to join their senior leadership team.Your responsibilities will include:Providing strategic technical leadership, shaping engineering direction, governance frameworks, and risk management practicesOverseeing the performance, maintenance, and integrity of HVDC systems, including converter stations and cable infrastructureLeading and developing a high-performing engineering function, ensuring effective delivery across operations, projects, and commercial interfacesDriving collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and external partners to optimise asset performance and project outcomesEnsuring compliance with UK and European regulatory standards while embedding a strong health, safety, and quality cultureYou will need to have the following experience:Extensive experience within the energy or transmission sector, with deep expertise in HVDC systems and infrastructureProven leadership of engineering or technical teams within large-scale infrastructure or asset-heavy environmentsStrong understanding of grid systems, converter technologies, and transmission interface requirementsCommercial acumen, including experience managing engineering contracts, suppliers, and technical negotiationsDegree-qualified in Electrical or Power Engineering (or equivalent), with Chartered Engineer status advantageousIf you are interested, please apply or reach out to Paula at Marlins Selection for a confidential discussion. #J-18808-Ljbffr
