Technical Business Analyst

As a Technical Business Analyst , you will play a key role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and development teams, translating complex business needs into actionable technical requirements. Working within multi-skilled agile teams, you will analyse processes, define solutions, and support delivery to ensure outcomes meet user needs and align with enterprise goals.
This is a client-facing, delivery-focused role suited to experienced analysts who are comfortable working across functional and technical teams, leading requirements workshops, and shaping solutions that deliver measurable business value.
You'll have the opportunity to: Lead business analysis activities across software delivery programmes
Translate business requirements into clear functional designs, process flows, and user stories
Collaborate with UX/UI designers, developers, and testers throughout the software development lifecycle
Analyse complex business impacts across multiple streams and support operational readiness
Participate in and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and stand-ups
Coach and support junior Business Analysts, sharing best practices and techniques
Influence the delivery of innovative, data-driven solutions that align with stakeholder objectives
Your Responsibilities: Elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements, including functional, non-functional, and operational needs
Produce clear artefacts such as sequence diagrams, business rules catalogues, process flows, and backlog items
Work closely with product owners, solution architects, and technical teams to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
Support testing by reviewing scripts, triaging defects, and resolving queries
Lead change activities including communications, training plans, and operational readiness
Assess business impact of proposed changes and ensure maximum improvements to business operations
Utilise structured solution design techniques such as Design Thinking, UML, or BPMN
Apply tools including Jira, Confluence, Visio, Excel, or others to support delivery
Key Requirements: 1.5-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in software delivery or technology environments
Experience bridging business and IT using data analytics to assess processes and deliver actionable insights
Strong user story writing and backlog management capability
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, UX, product, DevOps, and technical architects
Basic understanding of APIs, databases, system integration, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Salesforce, GenAI)
Familiarity with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) or Waterfall delivery methodologies
Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and validation
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels

End-to-end software delivery in regulated, high-impact environments
UX design and wireframing tools such as Figma or Balsamiq
Agile best practices, business process modelling, and change management
Mentoring and supporting junior Business Analysts
