Technical Compliance Manager - Water Treatment Healthcare Estate, London
We are supporting a major healthcare FM contract in London in the search for a Technical Compliance Manager with a specialist focus on Water Treatment and healthcare estates compliance.
This is a senior technical leadership role within a large, complex acute healthcare environment, covering a multi-site estate of significant scale and operational criticality.
The Role
You will take ownership of water safety, statutory compliance, and technical assurance across a large NHS acute portfolio, ensuring adherence to HTM guidance, HSE legislation, and internal governance frameworks.
Working closely with operational leads and Authorised/Responsible Persons, you will drive compliance improvement, audit readiness, and risk mitigation across critical engineering systems.
Key responsibilities will include:
Acting as Responsible Person (Water) across the contract Ensuring compliance with HTM 04-01, ACOP L8 and HSG274 Leading water safety groups and stakeholder reporting Auditing statutory compliance and driving corrective action plans Providing technical governance and assurance across hard FM services Supporting Authorised Persons across LV/HV, Ventilation, Medical Gas and Pressure Systems where required Working closely with NHS estates teams and senior client stakeholders Driving continuous improvement in safety, compliance, and operational performance About You
We are looking for a technically credible individual who has:
Significant experience within acute healthcare or highly regulated environments Held Responsible Person (Water) appointments on complex estates Strong working knowledge of HTM guidance and NHS compliance frameworks Experience operating within large managed service contracts Ability to influence operational teams and senior stakeholders alike A background in hard FM, engineering services, or infrastructure compliance Senior Authorised Person experience across related disciplines (HV/LV, Ventilation, Medical Gas, Pressure Systems) would be advantageous.
