The RoleCoordinate all relevant technical information needed to design & build the development from planning stages, through tender, detail design, NHBC compliance, on site build, and handover. This may involve the appointment and co-ordination of external professionals.Communicate with and resolve technical queries coming from site and external consultants and to integrate solutions into drawing packages and issue information to relevant partiesProduce accurate working drawing packages to enable any given residential development to be built as intended and to obtain all necessary technical approvalsTypical activitiesPreparation of details and drawingsDesign and coordinate design drawings at Tender Stage, works include drawings and design methodologyManage and liaise with external designers & manufacture suppliersLiaise with external bodies, principal Designers and Engineers to provide site wide drawing packageSite visits will be necessary so as to establish site constraints and to assist site teams on construction mattersDistribute design documents and drawings when requiredUndertake all tasks in line with development programme and requirementsAssess design risksProduce block plans, sections, elevations and Sales plansProduce detail information where not already available.Assist the Technical Manager in fee negotiation and the appointment of consultants.Coordinate the submission of Building Regulation Applications, NHBC clearance of conditions and other statutory approvals e.g. S104 and S38 Agreements/satisfy any imposed conditionsKnowledge of Building RegulationsCo-ordinate the accuracy of information supplied by suppliers and internal departments to ensure no discrepancies.Submission of all information to NHBC and obtaining approval of same,Obtaining SAP Assessments together with PEA and EPCs,Robust Standard Details (where appropriate).Attend Pre-Start Meetings and brief all departments on matters related to the working drawings.Co-ordinate information and liaise with internal/external architects, civil and structural engineers and landscape architects.Prepare all drawings and documents for printing for Pre-Start Meetings.Manage site as agreed with the Technical Manager from design stage to post completion.CommunicationAttend departmental meetings as required.Ensure all relevant stakeholders are informed of key departmental developments.Skills and ExperienceWork experience in a design office environmentProficient IT skills including MS Office software packagesA logical, organised and professional individual who can build relationships with others at all levels of the organisation(s)Must have a working knowledge Construction TechniquesPreferably experienced in a construction environmentImplement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisations goals and enhancing the reputation of the company.Able to work at high concentration levels to ensure 'right 1st time'CSCS Card advantageousRelevant experienceAt least 12 months experience working within a residential house builder or HA DeveloperInterpersonal skills and attitudeAble to work under reasonable pressure, and accept constructive feedback of workBe able to work effectively in a teamHave excellent communication skills both written and verbalBe practical and methodical with good analytical skillsJBRP1_UKTJ
