The Opportunity
The Technical Delivery Manager utilises a strong knowledge of industry standards for Tech programme and project management within Dechra Group Digital & Technology to lead technology change. They will be responsible for managing tech delivery throughout the full lifecycle, capturing and qualifying demand and developing business cases, through build, release and adoption. Adhering to the Dechra project governance methodology, enabling accurate and effective reporting.
Role Responsibility
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
Primary contact for all critical D&T Pillar programmes and projects. Leading end-to-end delivery, dependency management and governance requirements, ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality targets are met.
Work with D&T Pillar Leads and their teams to create and manage suitable plans for the delivery of their Programmes and Projects.
Assist Pillar Leads with the preparation and delivery of materials in support of regular MPR (Monthly Performance Review) and QBR (Quarterly Business Review) meetings.
Work with Finance to create and manage programme budgets, tracking actuals versus forecast.
Work with D&T Pillar lead to develop fully qualified and costed business cases, reflecting value within the Business for D&T deliverables
Track deliverables and benefit realisation.
Own D&T Pillar records in the PM tool, including establishing new project / demand records, life-cycling projects through to BAU and closure and completion activities
Apply appropriate tools and techniques to plan projects effectively.
Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and standards.
Define project timelines, allocate resources, and drive progress of critical tasks.
Help project team members progress through the delivery lifecycle from inception, design, build, testing, delivery, and adoption.
Lead processes for identification and management of project issues and risks and associated resolutions; develop mitigation strategies and elevate when required.
Monitor and manage project charters, objectives, scope, requirements and milestone plans.
Manage project documentation, governance requirements and creation of integrated D&T plan
Act as the primary point of contact for senior leaders, business owners, and technical teams.
Facilitate steering committees, governance boards, and executive updates.
Translate complex technical information into clear, business-focused communication.

High level of PC and desktop software literacy with Microsoft products
Experience in a range of delivery lifecycles - waterfall, iterative, Agile, Hybrid etc.
Experience of working in an IT change environment capacity and working on large scale IT initiatives
Broad business understanding and experience of working in a global IT environment
Wide ranging IT appreciation and knowledge of technology trends
Experience of cross cultural working and engagement of diverse team
Desirable
Previous experience in a pharma or other compliance working environment
Experience of hands-on delivery of at least 2 full lifecycle tech projects.
Experience of project managing teams of tech delivery (functional or technical) of +20 people for a full lifecycle implementation.
Experience of using and (ideally) developing methods and process to ensure structured delivery of IT project in a regulated (ideally GxP/CSV / SOx) environment, i.e. using stage gates, quality controls, code reviews, planning and delivering testing
Additional Information
Occasional global travel may be required with this role.
This role is based in Northwich / hybrid
