Technical Estimator Location: Tamworth Salary: £28,500 Industry: Manufacturing / Building ProductsWe're working with a well-established and growing manufacturing business that is looking to add a Technical Estimator to their commercial team. This is a key position supporting sales and operations by producing accurate, competitive costings and helping secure profitable new business.This role would suit someone with strong numerical ability, good technical understanding, and experience working with drawings, specifications, or bills of materials.The RoleAs Product Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing detailed quotations and cost estimates based on customer requirements, technical drawings, and product specifications. You'll work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure pricing is accurate, commercially competitive, and aligned with project timelines.Key responsibilities include:Preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations from drawings, specifications, and bills of materialsReviewing customer enquiries and identifying cost-effective product solutionsAnalysing technical information to ensure accurate pricing and schedulingLiaising with sales and internal departments to gather relevant technical and costing dataSupporting customers and internal teams with technical and commercial enquiriesEnsuring all estimates align with company procedures and commercial objectivesContributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes and systemsProviding clear communication to stakeholders regarding pricing, timelines, and technical detailsWhat We're Looking ForEssential:Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyGood IT skills, particularly Microsoft ExcelAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlinesConfident communication skills, both written and verbalDesirable:Experience in manufacturing, construction, or building productsKnowledge of CAD drawings or technical schematicsEngineering or construction-related qualificationJBRP1_UKTJ
