About the Role
\n
We're looking for a Technical Manager join our busy poultry manufacturing site in Coupar Angus, reporting directly into the Head of Technical. This is a key site leadership role with responsibility for managing the Quality, Hygiene and Compliance functions.
\n
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for delivering day-to-day technical performance, ensuring compliance with food safety, quality systems, legislation, and customer standards.
\n
You'll lead the team in a fast-paced environment, making sound decisions to maintain site standards and customer confidence.
\n

Key Responsibilities
\n
\n Provide technical leadership ensuring robust quality management systems and legal compliance \n
Lead and develop the technical teams, with full accountability for performance, conduct, and capability \n
Monitor and report KPIs, driving improvement through trend analysis \n
Lead investigations into complaints, rejections and non-conformances, ensuring effective root cause analysis and preventative actions \n
Manage internal and external audits, ensuring timely close-out of actions \n
Work cross-functionally with production and technical teams to maintain standards and share best practice \n
Support customer visits and third-party audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented \n
Maintain effective pest control, hygiene and environmental standards \n

About You
\n
You'll have strong technical experience in food manufacturing, ideally within poultry or short shelf-life environments. You'll be comfortable leading teams, working at pace, and making clear, risk-based decisions.
