We are a multi-award-winning housebuilder that operates nationally across 5 regions. We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our Special Projects Division focusing on Internal Fire Safety works.

You’ll be capable of working as a team, and coordinating the different contributors to a project, and using your first-class communication skills you will effectively motivate and communicate with the wider teams, in order to influence others to ensure that the required programmes are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Review FRA’s and prepare briefing documents of actions points for Crest, Contractors & RE/RP’s. Inc co-ordination of Mark-up plans of area of works. (link between Pre-assessment team & Technical Managers) Review Firestopping (FS) & Fire door (FD) surveys. Site visits to review accuracy of FS/FD surveys and inspect quality of internal remedial works. Advise of Firestopping compartmentation & fire door remedial details/methods. Advise on allocation of FD non-compliance items between Defect & Repair. Review contractor’s remedial proposals. Review Firestopping FS & FD completion QA reports & Certifications. Assist in tracking the Golden Tread packs. Assist on Fire Strategy proposals until RFSS plans are finalised. Assist with internal remedial works detail for HRB Gateway2 applications.

Qualifications

Needs to be a "competent person" with deep knowledge of Building safety legislation such as BSA 2022, Building Regulations, CDM, building types including HRB’s, and specifically internal fire remediation works. The role requires an individual with both strong on-site practical experience and desk top experience. Qualification desirable but not essential: European Qualifications Framework (EQF) Level 5+ qualifications or similar, professional body registration (like BAFE SP205/IFSM/IFE)
