Come and join us as a Technical Officer at our Sale office in Greater Manchester
Part of wienerberger UK & Ireland, youll be joining our Building Product Design team, a leader in the fields of roofing ventilation, construction membranes, building ventilation, and specialised building products.
About the role:
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Officers to join our technical team based in Sale.
The technical team provide support and technical advice to our internal and external customers related to the technical elements of our product range. This includes reviewing construction plans/drawing and providing design and technical advice to customers.
The role can be fast paced and varied, as part of your work will support commercial enquiries which require a quick turnaround to secure the sales/orders.
You will be focused on providing specification support to internal Roofing and Construction sales teams as well as managing/maintaining our NBS specifications and BIM content for the product range.
You will also
Delivering front-line technical support to customers and internal teams
Manage/resolve customer queries and complaints
Prepare and interpret thermal transmittance calculations (U-value ) in accordance with BR443 and BS EN ISO 6946 standards
Conduct condensation risk analyses in accordance with BS 5250 and BS EN 13788
Perform take-off and quotation services for the cavity tray product range
Develop ventilation strategies for residential and commercial properties
Handle special enquiries for non-standard product requests
Log and monitor customer enquiries, identifying trends and potential issues.
The role is office based, so the support you provide is typically via phone/email or video call, but some travel will occasionally be required to assist on projects and site visits.
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm
About you
You will be a technical administrator with good attention to detail and experience providing support to colleagues/customers via phone/email/in person.
You will have experience in a similar role within the construction or building products/materials sector.
You will also have
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Good numerical skills
Ability to learn quickly
Team working skills
Comfortable adapting and reacting the changing priorities
Experience using Microsoft Office suite (e.g. Outlook, Teams, Excel)
