Technical Operator Initial 12-month FTC Ashby de la Zouch (Home of Hula Hoops, Space Raiders, popchips and more...) Shift: This role follows a rotating weekend and midweek shift pattern:
Weekend shifts (every week – 24 hours total) You will work both of the following, rotating weekly: Saturday/Sunday 18:00–06:00 (night shift)
Saturday/Sunday 06:00–18:00 (day shift)
Midweek shifts (every other week – 32 hours total) On alternate weeks, you will work four midweek shifts . These follow a rotating pattern of: Nights
Afternoons
Mornings
You will receive a full yearly rota so you can plan ahead.

About the role As a Technical Operator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our high-quality products are produced efficiently and to the highest standards. You’ll be responsible for the competent operation of a variety of machinery, including packing lines, poppers, and flavour units, while also carrying out routine product testing and quality checks to maintain consistency.

What will you be doing? Operate production machinery confidently and safely , including packing lines, poppers, and flavour units, to keep production running smoothly.
Embrace the challenge of maintaining high product quality , carrying out testing and checks to ensure every item meets our exacting standards.
Work closely with your shift team and other departments , supporting a collaborative and efficient production environment.
Play a vital role in delivering the products our customers love , contributing directly to our performance and reputation.
Gain hands-on experience and develop new skills , with full training provided and opportunities to grow within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

We’d love to hear from you if you can bring: A good standard of literacy and numeracy will help you follow processes accurately and complete essential documentation.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently will support the team in meeting daily production targets.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment is a great foundation, but we also welcome skills from similar hands-on roles.
A Level 2 Food Safety qualification is desirable but not essential —we provide full training to help you succeed and grow in the role.
