Our Story & Spirit

The Revel Puck Circus is a contemporary circus company born in East London. We are

a fast-scaling arts organisation straddling commercial grit with deep community

engagement. Through 2025 we delivered a subsidised national tour, ran a dedicated

venue at the Brighton Fringe, staged three productions at Edinburgh, and sold out a run

in Taiwan.

Whether producing bespoke shows for brands like LIBERTY and Boden or running

multiple London pop-up venues simultaneously, we move with a DIY spirit and

professional precision. In 2026, our output grows as we look to welcome at least

100,000 audience members. We are striving to further embed our mission without losing

our edge. Our work is guided by three things:

  • PUNK: We carve our own path and do it ourselves.
  • POPULAR: We make world-class art that is actually for everyone.
  • REAL: We celebrate the raw, poignant, and joyful reality of human physicality.

The Year Zero Shift

The Revel Puck Circus is changing. In 2026, we are moving from a project-to-project team to a

high-output production house. We’re launching a 19-stop national tour with a 30-person team,

moving every one to two weeks from March to September.

Beyond the tour we’re running a venue at Brighton Fringe, delivering high-spec commercial

activations for brands, and ending the year by running three tented venues in London through

December.

We need a Technical Production Manager to design the machine that makes all of this possible.

If you love puzzles, are excited about creating something new and want to be part of a dynamic

team this is the job for you.

The Role: The Architect & The Safety Net

This is a Head of Department role that engages with external stakeholders, develops complex

systems and supports our on the ground teams. In the office, you are the Architect: designing

the site layouts, mapping out the Monday Move, and negotiating with councils. For our on the

ground teams, you are the Safety Net: the senior lead who has their backs when things get

tough.

You won’t be on the road for 5 months. Instead, you will recruit and lead the project-specific

Managers who will. When a generator fails at 10PM on a Saturday or a site move in Margate

gets complicated, you are the person at the end of the phone with the plan, the budget, and the

expertise to fix it.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Building and designing

  • The Teams: You will find and hire the project specific teams —the on-tour Tech

Managers, Tent Masters, and Ops Leads who will deliver our 2026 seasons.

  • Designing the systems: Our new model involves a Monday move and a Tuesday build,

week-in, week-out. You will design the choreography for this move so it’s efficient and

doesn't burn the crew out.

  • The Puck Bibles: You’ll author our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You create

the manual so that every site — from the Olympic Park to Paris — is built to the same

"Puck Standard."

2. Senior Oversight & The "Paper Shield"

  • Safety Lead: You are the "Competent Person" for the company. You'll oversee the

RAMS and Construction Phase Plans (CDM) for our projects.

  • Regulatory Heavy-Lifting: You’ll lead the high-level meetings with Safety Advisory

Groups (SAGs) and Local Authorities, clearing the legal path so the tour managers can

focus on the show.

  • Asset Health: You’ll manage the long-term maintenance of our assets, our Big Tops, the

fleet, and our gear, making sure everything is serviced and safe for the following project.

3. Strategic "Yes, And" Thinking

  • Multi-Site Logistics: You’ll work out how we manage multiple projects, maintenance

and asset management across several sites simultaneously.

  • Commercial Delivery: You’ll take the creative vision for our brand partners and turn it

into a technical reality that is stunning, safe, and on-budget.

  • Budget Ownership: You’ll manage the technical and site budgets, identifying where

spending money on better kit now will save us hundreds of labor hours later.

Who You Are

  • A Leader: You’ve spent 5+ years in production or site management. Now, you’re ready

to move into a role where you’re managing the wider scope.

  • A Systems Thinker: You love the puzzle of a touring circus! You can see the bottleneck

in a site plan before the trucks even arrive.

  • The Safety Net: You are calm under pressure. You’re the person people call when they

need a solution, not a lecture.

  • Technically Sharp: You know your way around CAD, BS7909 (power), and MUTA

(structures). You use these tools to make the Punk energy of the circus work safely in

the real world.

Why This Job?

We work hard, but we’re serious about making sure our team doesn't burn out. We value the

person behind the job, which is why we’ve built this role around a flexible, 3-day week that

respects your time outside of the circus.

We offer a competitive salary, paid overtime during our busiest "go-live" build weeks, and a

hybrid approach to how you work. Most importantly, you’ll be helping us build the blueprint for

one of the UK’s most exciting, mischievous circus companies as we step into our biggest

chapter yet.
