The successful candidate will be allocated to work with one of our most valued clients supporting a critical transformation programme.
The client is in the public sector and there will be a requirement to work 3 days a week (T/W/T) at their Fareham, Hampshire HQ.
Essential experience is as follows:
- Experience of having project managed the replacement of a back office system with a CRM/Case Management System. (in this case Salesforce but others platforms fine e.g. MS Dynamics, Hubspot, SAP etc)
- Able to manage the relationship with a delivery partner (in this case NTT Data).
- Security environment minded
- Used to working with JIRA.
- PM experience of working with and managing a large team of key stakeholder (>10)

Role summary:
- Within Illuminet’s Professional Services Team
- Reports to the CEO for line management and to the appropriate Client Delivery Director for specific client assignments.
- Full-time permanent basis
- Location: client requirements will dictate working locations, with the expectation to travel, on occasion, to our offices in London, Poole or Leamington Spa. Where on-site work is not required, you will work from home.
In 2024, Illuminet acquired Biomni, an Automation and AI brand. Both entities work closely together and you will be expected to liaise with all employees and managers to ensure the smooth running of all our divisions.
Job Brief:
Illuminet Project Managers are trained in the company’s products, tools and services to enable them to provide the very best service to our clients.
This is a key role within the Professional Services team, working closely with clients, the Illuminet’s Sales team and our associates you will provide expertise both pre-sales and delivery.
Leading the planning process, engaging with the client, specialist partners and suppliers to identify requirements, shape proposals and outcomes, inspire clients, develop budgets and organise the project from initial planning and set-up. To help win new business, and lead delivery to manage client facing or internal projects (whether on a T&M or fixed price / outcome basis, or in delivering our products), to ensure they will be delivered on time, within budget and to scope in a way that will delight the client and will deliver massive value to them.
As such, the Project Manager role supports Illuminet’s ability to achieve or exceed growth targets in revenue and profitability.
Individual Requirements:
• Strong Project Management skills, with the ability to be pragmatic to get the job done.
• Able to communicate at all levels both verbally and written.
• Willing to work hands on to deliver outcomes as required.
• Excellent organisational skills including attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines and keep within scope, whilst remaining flexible.
• Able to execute effective meetings and workshops to obtain requirements.
• Strong relationship builder and manager.
• Self-motivated with a tenacity and commitment to see things through to successful completion.
• Excellent business acumen and commercial awareness with an ability to spot and promote opportunities.
• Able to take client requirements and shape proposals and outcomes for presentation back to the client.
• Willing to travel to client offices and to Illuminet locations when required.
• Able to work as part of a team or on own.
• Able to support the preparation of materials to present to other areas of the business and/or Executive Committee on sales plans, new business and opportunities.
Skills & Competencies
• Minimum of 5 years Project Management, including budgeting, analysis, risk and team management.
Preferably in computer science, business process or technical fields.
• Extensive Agile and Waterfall experience. PMP / PRINCE II certification is a plus.
• Policy and process design and management.
• Problem solver and decision maker.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Solid analytical skills.
• An understanding of ITIL is desirable.
• Technically proficient including in MS products including project, PowerPoint, Visio and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
• Shape the delivery based on Client requirements.
• Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
• Engage, lead and motivate the project team.
• Project planning and development of project initiation documentation (PID) or equivalent.
• Develop a detailed project plan to track and report progress.
• Manage the delivery, whether by Suppliers, Associates and/or the Client to deliver the desired outcomes.
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
• Manage the level of risk.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Report and escalate to management as needed.
Governance and Compliance
• Contribution to the development of the company’s policies, processes, procedures, products and services being delivered by Illuminet.
• Contribution to creation of client facing collateral for marketing or delivery purposes.
• Identify talented, skilled practitioners that can join the Illuminet Business Network. Helping to develop the Illuminet Business Network value to Associates/Suppliers and to illuminet.
• Produce regular project and management reports to Illuminet and the client.
Growth in the role
There are development opportunities for the Project Manager to Senior Project Manager then Consultant on to Senior Consultant or Client Delivery Manager and on to Client Delivery Director.
Pay: £62,000 - £65,000 per year depending upon experience
