We are a passionate, purpose-driven organisation committed to upskilling and supporting professionals working with vulnerable children and adults in care. Our mission is to equip care professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deliver exceptional care—ultimately transforming lives.
As a member of our team, your work will have real impact—not only within our organisation but also for the vulnerable individuals who rely on compassionate, well-trained care professionals.
We are seeking a technically proficient and highly organised Freelance Technical Project Manager to take over and lead the delivery of a multi-component platform currently undergoing a transitional phase.
In this role, you will manage the development and integration of key infrastructure and product elements within a growing technical ecosystem. You'll work cross-functionally with UX/UI designers, software developers, infrastructure teams, stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery, aligned priorities, and a smooth handover of project scope.
The ideal candidate will have a strong grounding in Agile project management, combined with a hands-on understanding of digital platforms, software architecture, and sprint-based development processes.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple technical workstreams within a modular platform.
- Oversee sprint planning, backlog grooming, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, frontend/backend engineering, and infrastructure.
- Manage technical handovers with clear documentation, scoping, and onboarding of contractors.
- Define and uphold delivery cadences (e.g., weekly stand-ups, demo sessions, dev progress tracking).
- Oversee integration of key platform components such as LMS, CRM, and content delivery tools.
- Ensure all deliverables align with security, compliance, and scalability requirements.
- Report regularly to senior leadership, offering progress updates and strategic recommendations.
- Facilitate a seamless transition from the previous project manager and vendor relationships.
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Digital Delivery Manager in SaaS or web platform environments.
- Strong command of Agile and Scrum methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog management, and team velocity tracking.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Figma, Monday.com, Zoom, and Git-based workflows.
- Ability to translate between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
- Solid understanding of digital architecture and systems integration (e.g., APIs, LMS, CMS, CRM).
- Experience managing distributed or remote teams, including freelancers and contractors.
- Exceptional communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with legacy project recovery, product handovers, or greenfield platform builds is a plus.
- Background in education, training, or learning management systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Awareness of ISO compliance and data privacy standards.
- Experience delivering MVPs or working with early-stage digital products.
