Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: UK (Hybrid)
The Opportunity
A fast-growing maritime technology company is expanding its commercial capability to support rising demand for proven decarbonisation solutions across the global shipping industry.
With shipowners under increasing regulatory and commercial pressure to reduce emissions, the business is scaling its technical sales function to help customers evaluate, adopt and implement wind-assisted propulsion technology.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering and commercial strategy. It is designed for a technically credible professional who can translate vessel performance analysis into compelling business cases for shipowners and operators navigating the transition to lower-carbon shipping.
Reporting into the commercial leadership team, this position offers direct exposure to international clients, shipyards and key stakeholders across the maritime ecosystem.
The Impact You Will Have
• Analyse vessel performance and emissions data to build commercially compelling retrofit business cases
• Lead technical engagement with shipowners, shipyards and project stakeholders from early feasibility through to commercial proposal
• Translate complex engineering analysis into clear value propositions for clients evaluating wind propulsion systems
• Support global sales activity by developing tailored technical and commercial proposals for individual vessels
• Act as the trusted technical voice supporting negotiations and project handover into delivery teams
What Success Looks Like
• Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or related technical degree
• Strong understanding of vessel performance, fuel consumption and maritime operations
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to commercial audiences
• Comfortable working with international shipowners, shipyards and cross-functional teams
• Curious, commercially aware and motivated by the challenge of accelerating maritime decarbonisation
