Technical Sales Engineer | Location: Field-Based (the North) | £45,00-£55,000 (negotiable)
The Opportunity A long-established, independent UK distributor and manufacturer of high-reliability electronic components is expanding its technical presence across the North. With over 50 years of heritage, the business combines specialist franchised distribution with UK-based manufacturing of film and mica capacitors. Their customers span military, aerospace, high-end industrial, test & measurement, rail, automotive, and semiconductor sectors. The Role As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will manage and grow relationships across an established customer base while identifying new design‑in opportunities.
This position blends engineering understanding with commercial drive and suits:
A Sales Engineer from a component distributor, OEM, or specialist manufacturer OR A technically strong engineer (component level) seeking a first step into a customer-facing commercial role You will act as a trusted technical partner, helping customers define, specify, and select components across a broad product portfolio, supported by internal sales, product specialists, and engineering teams.
