Job Description
Technical Sales Manager - Air Systems
Location: Based near Leicester (UK-wide & international travel)
Salary: £50,000-£70,000 + up to 25% company bonus
Benefits: Company car or allowance (BMW/Mercedes + personal use), Pension 3-5%, 25 days holiday + bank holidays
Hours: Mon-Thu 8:30-5:00, Fri 8:30-3:30 (early finish)

The Role
\n
We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager with strong knowledge of air systems to take full sales ownership of a high-value portfolio. Based in Leicester, this role offers a rare blend of technical challenge, autonomy and global exposure - with around 50% of business overseas and regular international travel (typically one week at a time), alongside UK site visits 2-3 days per week.

You will manage the full sales lifecycle from enquiry, technical discussions and design input through to quotation, negotiation and closing - personally generating £1.5m+ annual revenue .

This isn't a "sales chat" role. We want someone credible, technically strong and able to work consultatively with customers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage full technical sales process with UK and global customers
\n
\n
\n
Travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas (regular travel required)
\n
\n
\n
Take ownership for quotations, pricing and negotiations
\n
\n
\n
Build strong customer relationships and develop long-term business partnerships
\n
\n
\n
Work closely with internal engineering and project teams
\n
\n
\n
Deliver a personal sales revenue target of £1.5m+ annually
\n
\n
\n
Experience, Skills & Qualifications
\n
\n
\n
HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
\n
\n
\n
Strong background in air systems / air handling / similar engineering environments
\n
\n
\n
Ability to understand technical solutions and communicate confidently with engineers and customers
\n
\n
\n
Experienced and credible - ideally replacing someone with long-standing industry knowledge
\n
\n
\n
Ability to read AutoCAD or 3D drawings (highly desirable)
\n
\n
\n
Strong commercial mindset with the ability to manage high-value projects
\n
\n
\n
