Job Description
Position: Technical Sales Manager\n\nLocation: Nottingham\n\nSalary: £45,000 - £55,000\n\nMy client are seeking a commercially driven Technical Sales Office Manager to lead and develop a multi-function sales team within an engineering-led environment.\n\nReporting to the COO, this role is responsible for driving strategic growth, improving sales processes, entering new markets, and ensuring operational accuracy across quotations, tenders and order management.\n\nThis is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong technical understanding combined with commercial authority.\n\nThe Role\n\nYou will be responsible for:\n\n * \n\n Leading and developing the internal sales operations team and Business Development Managers\n\n * \n\n Driving revenue growth across new and existing accounts\n\n * \n\n Developing and delivering strategic sales plans\n\n * \n\n Managing lead processes and ensuring measurable ROI\n\n * \n\n Securing supplier status within corporate and distribution markets\n\n * \n\n Overseeing enquiries, quotations, costings and order processing\n\n * \n\n Ensuring accuracy in pricing, including special orders\n\n * \n\n Preparing and submitting PQQ and tender documentation\n\n * \n\n Managing construction contract processes where required\n\n * \n\n Producing revenue reports and realistic forecasting for senior leadership\n\n * \n\n Identifying emerging markets and competitive positioning\n\n * \n\n Driving team performance, coaching and accountability\n\n * \n\n Ensuring systems, records and compliance standards are maintained\n\nAbout You\n\n * \n\n Proven experience leading and developing sales teams\n\n * \n\n Strong technical understanding of mechanical or engineering environments\n\n * \n\n Demonstrated success driving strategic growth\n\n * \n\n Experience managing tenders, PQQs or construction-related contracts\n\n * \n\n Commercially astute with strong financial awareness\n\n * \n\n Confident presenting data and influencing at senior level\n\n * \n\n Hands-on leadership style with a proactive mindset\n\n * \n\n Strong communication and relationship-building skills\n\n * \n\n Comfortable working with CRM/ERP systems (SAGE desirable)\n\n * \n\n UK driving licence and willingness to travel\n\nPlease apply with your most up to date CV or get in touch with Jordan at Ridgeline Recruitment
