About the Role
Location: Office-based or Remote (Flexible Working Available)
NOV Pipex, part of the Energy & Production Solutions division of NOV, is seeking a commercially driven and technically capable Technical Sales Manager to take ownership of a high-impact sales role within our market-leading industrial thermoplastics business.
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, profitability, and customer success across the construction, municipal, and industrial sectors. This is a strategic and hands-on role overseeing the full sales lifecycle — from specification development and technical proposals to deal closure and long-term account growth.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with site and global business objectives
Drive immediate and long-term revenue growth through proactive opportunity management and deal closure
Achieve and exceed sales targets within existing and new market segments
Manage municipal and industrial sales opportunities end-to-end
Build, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
Deliver technical sales presentations, proposals, and specification support
Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, engineering, customer service, and wider sales teams
Monitor performance using KPIs and provide data-driven reporting to senior leadership
Support financial planning, budgeting, and revenue forecasting processes
Optimise sales processes through effective use of CRM tools and ensure lead conversion
Lead by example in QHSE compliance, promoting and reinforcing a strong safety-first culture
Travel as required to support business and customer needs
Qualifications & Skills Essential:
Tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline
Proven experience within the construction industry or related manufacturing environment
Demonstrated background in technical or engineering sales
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to create, track, and manage sales metrics
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM systems
Desirable:
Business or manufacturing-related qualification
Exposure to ERP systems
Knowledge of SIOP processes
Interpersonal Skills (optional)
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to influence and build credibility at all organisational levels
Self-motivated with a proactive, results-oriented mindset
Strategic thinker with strong analytical capability
Collaborative team player with leadership presence
