Our client is a leading international engineering and manufacturing group, specialising in motion control, springs, and mechanical components.

They supply high-performance industrial solutions across sectors including automotive, aerospace, marine, medical, and manufacturing, supporting customers with advanced technical products and application expertise.

The Role – Technical Sales / Business Development

This is a field-based Technical Sales Manager role focused on new business development and account growth across the UK.

You will drive revenue by identifying opportunities, developing relationships, and delivering tailored engineering solutions to industrial clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and win new business opportunities across your territory
• Manage and grow key accounts and OEM customers
• Sell a portfolio of industrial components, springs, motion control, and engineered solutions
• Build strong relationships with engineering, procurement, and operations teams
• Manage sales pipeline, forecasting, pricing, and margins
• Deliver technical presentations and solution-based sales
• Collaborate internally on strategic accounts and cross-selling opportunities
• Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer needs
• Maintain accurate data via CRM systems
• Travel across the UK (with occasional Europe travel)

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in Technical Sales / Business Development / Account Management
• Background in industrial components, mechanical engineering, motion control, springs, hydraulics, pneumatics, or related sectors
• Strong track record of new business development and revenue growth
• Experience selling into OEMs, manufacturing, or industrial environments
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar (preferred) or equivalent experience
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Desirable:

• Experience with springs, actuators, or motion control systems
• Additional European languages (French or German)

• £58,000 base salary
