Technical Sales Rep
Location: London (Remote)
Salary: Competitive + OTE
The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a driven and technically minded Technical Sales Representative to join their team in the construction sector. This is a strategic role focused on building high-level relationships with architects, engineers, and building control officers to ensure their products are specified in both new builds and major refurbishments.
The successful candidate will be the technical face of the brand, bridging the gap between complex engineering solutions and commercial delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Specification Development: Actively engage with architects and designers to integrate products into project designs and construction plans.
Technical Presentations: Deliver CPDs and technical presentations to project teams, ensuring all specifications and technical details are meticulously addressed.
Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term partnerships with consultants, contractors, and key influencers across the construction industry.
Business Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet and exceed company sales targets.
Project Oversight: Track project lifecycles from initial specification through to the final tender, ensuring bids are successfully converted into won orders.
Technical Support: Provide troubleshooting, product selection guidance, and training to project stakeholders.
Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
The Person:
Experience: At least 3+ years of sales experience within the construction industry, with a strong preference for candidates from a specification sales background.
Education: A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management is .
Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of building codes, construction processes, and materials is essential.
Communication: Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
