Job Reference:921Job Title:Technical Services ManagerSalary:£60,000 per annum + Van & Fuel CardLocation:London & SoutheastJob Type:Technical / EngineeringWorking Hours:Monday Friday, 8am 5pmJob SummaryThe Technical Service Manager AOV & Smoke Control is responsible for identifying, developing and converting technical opportunities within existing customer base and new accounts introduced through the Business Development team.The TSM plays a critical role in the Groups service-led growth strategy, where maintenance contracts provide visibility of estate condition and create opportunities for remedial works, system upgrades and lifecycle replacement projects specifically relating to AOV systems and motorised smoke dampers.Combining strong technical expertise with commercial awareness, the TSM scopes works, prepares quotations and converts opportunities into revenue across AOV systems, smoke control panels, motorised smoke dampers and associated control systems.The role also retains a practical technical element. The TSM is an exemplary model of best practice; they maintain the highest standards of technical integrity, safety and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop AOV and smoke control opportunities within existing customer estates.Act as a technical escalation point for AOV and smoke control systems.Convert surveys, inspections, and engineer reports into commercial workstreams.Scope remedial works, upgrades, and lifecycle replacements.Design compliant solutions aligned with fire strategy and cause & effect.Prepare accurate, commercially viable quotations in line with pricing and margin targets.Cost full system scope including equipment, labour, and commissioning.Support complex bids and large upgrade programmes.Identify cross-sell opportunities and expand service offerings.Collaborate with Business Development and Account Managers to grow client relationships.Provide technical advice and act as an escalation point.Attend site meetings, surveys, and client consultations.Support project delivery with clear scopes, documentation, and handover.Assist with installation, commissioning, and technical problem-solving.Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed scope.RequirementsStrong technical experience in AOV, smoke control or building services.Experience delivering or quoting AOV and smoke control remedial works and installations.Experience working within facilities management or technical services environments.Strong understanding of motorised smoke dampers and associated controls.Knowledge of smoke control panels (e.g. SC Controls, Colt, Advance Air, Action Air).Ability to scope technical works and develop commercial proposals.Understanding of lifecycle planning and compliance requirements.Familiarity with CAFM or CRM systems such as Atom.Whats on Offer25 Days annual leave + bank holidays Company van & fuel cardTravel payQuarterly bonusesHybrid workingApply today and help us shape the future!JBRP1_UKTJ
