Technical Stores Assistant

We are looking to recruit a Technical Stores Assistant to join our busy stores department.
This is a hands-on role involving stock control, goods handling, and order picking, with a strong focus on computer-based systems—particularly Orderwise.
Key Responsibilities
* Booking goods in and out from suppliers using Orderwise
* Checking deliveries against purchase orders (quantities, documentation, and visual inspection)
* Picking and issuing parts based on BOM (Bill of Materials) lists
* Maintaining accurate stock records
* Supporting both UK and worldwide operations
* Ensuring the stores area is organised and efficient
✅ Skills & Requirements
* Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Experience using stock control or ERP systems (Orderwise preferred)
* Understanding of quality processes (ISO 9001 experience desirable)
* Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or picking role
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good communication and customer service skills
Essential Licences
* Forklift Reach Truck licence
* Forklift Counterbalance licence
⏰ Working Hours
* 37.5 hours per week
* Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
* Friday: 8:00am – 12:30pm
