Role Description: Technical Author – Data Programme

**MUST HAVE BANKING EXPERIENCE**

Role Purpose:

The Technical Author will be responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality documentation that supports the data programme’s objectives. This includes technical specifications, process documentation, user guides, and governance materials to ensure clarity and consistency across all data-related initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models.
• Create user-friendly guides for data tools, dashboards, and APIs.
• Document data governance policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and analysts to translate technical concepts into accessible language.
• Manage internal knowledge bases and ensure version control of documentation.
• Support onboarding by creating training materials and FAQs.

Skills & Experience:

• Strong technical writing skills with attention to detail.
• Understanding of data concepts (databases, data lakes, ETL, APIs).
• Familiarity with documentation tools (Confluence, GitHub, Markdown).
• Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and business teams.
