Job Title
Technician – Climate Digital Solutions
Job Purpose
To support the installation, maintenance, and optimisation of digital climate control systems, including HVAC and smart building technologies. The role focuses on ensuring systems operate efficiently, reliably, and in line with performance and sustainability targets through the use of digital tools and connected solutions.
Key Activities & Accountabilities
Install, commission, and maintain climate control and HVAC systems with digital interfaces
Monitor system performance using remote platforms and diagnostic tools
Troubleshoot and resolve faults across mechanical and digital components
Support integration of smart technologies and IoT-enabled devices
Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
Ensure compliance with health & safety and regulatory standards
Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation
Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery
Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and energy performance
Key Interfaces
Internal engineering and technical teams
Facilities management teams
External contractors and service providers
Clients/end-users (site-based)
Technical support and product specialists
Specialist Knowledge
Electrical – Working knowledge of basic machinery control circuits and components, voltage and current measurement
Practical and theory aspects of the in-service inspection & testing of electrical equipment.
3 Phase and single-phase electrical motors. (Knowledge of fuse sizing, Relays, Contactors & overload devices).
Electrical NVQ level 3 Electrical Installation
Electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills 415v & 110v
Electrical / Mechanical
HNC Mechatronics desirable
HVAC knowledge desirable
Holder of current forklift licence
Skills & Abilities
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and system data
Competent in using digital tools and diagnostic software
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Time management and organisational skills

Relevant certifications (e.g. F-Gas, electrical qualifications) may be required
