Overhaul TechnicianContract Duration: 8 weeks Location: Manchester Pay Rates:Umbrella Pay Rate: £23.49 per hour / PAYE Pay Rate: £18.86 per hourRole Overview: You will be undertaking overhaul, maintenance and modification duties as a T2 Technician, working across various rolling stock fleets whilst adhering to Siemens processes, procedures and safety standards:Carry out the initial inspection of Trains in line with Siemens maintenance specificationsPerform axle bearing removal, ensuring no damage to the axle or associated components, and prepare bearings for dispatch to approved external suppliersUndertake paint removal on axles to facilitate detailed inspection and overhaul activitiesComplete component removal, taking all necessary precautions to prevent damage to partsCarry out surface defect removal in accordance with engineering standardsPerform oil drain and refill on gearboxes, couplings, and associated componentsConduct initial inspections, accurately reporting findings through Siemens maintenance systems and to the relevant supervisorUndertake wheelset removal, ensuring no damage to the vehicle frame or componentsAssist with vehicle disassembly and safe removal of componentsCarry out component repair activities in line with Siemens technical instructions and specificationsSupport cleaning and housekeeping activities of rolling stock and work areasKnowledge & ExperienceExperience in a mechanical/electrical engineering or process environmentExperience of basic fault findingAbility to complete all records of actions and operations accurately and to proceduresAbility to understand and care for tools, equipment and PPEKnowledge of Health & Safety including bio hazards, manual handling and Control ofSubstances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)Ability to use a computerAbility to understand and interpret relevant technical publicationsAbility to produce detailed complex, analytical technical reportsAll PPE provided and Health and Safety explained before and on site.Rullion supports applications from a diverse talent pool.
