Rate of Pay: £22.51 per hour (Umbrella) for the first 12 weeks, then increasing to £24.56 per hour.

or £17.15 per hour (PAYE) for the first 12 weeks, then increasing to £19.72 per hour.

Shift Pattern: 8am - 4pm (Monday to Friday)

***All successful candidates must be able to start Monday 27th April for paid training over 5 days***

Are you a hands-on, detail-oriented Technician from auto, aero or rail industries with a passion for mechanical engineering? Do you want to work in a dynamic environment where your skills keep vital rolling stock in top condition? If so, we want to hear from you!

Training & Courses You Will Achieve Prior to Start (must be available to complete the below mandatory and fully paid training)

Training will be facilitated in Northampton and will include:

• IOSH
• First Aid
• Fire Awareness
• Manual Handling
• Fixtures & Fastening
• Working at Heights

What You'll Do:

• Perform maintenance on allocated rolling stock with minimal supervision, following all company processes and safety procedures
• Collaborate with your team to assist with rolling stock maintenance, expanding your technical expertise
• Identify, order, and collect the necessary spares and materials to keep everything running smoothly
• Support cleaning of rolling stock when needed, ensuring a safe and tidy environment
• Apply essential train protection measures within the depot site
• Carry out train preparation to help keep services on time

What We're Looking For:

Committed Technician's that are available to start ASAP and complete mandatory fully paid training prior to start.

• Experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering environment
• Basic fault-finding skills and the ability to work methodically
• Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping in line with procedures
• Care and understanding for tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Solid knowledge of Health & Safety practices including biohazards, manual handling, and COSHH regulations
• Competent computer skills and ability to interpret technical documents
