This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys travel and has a strong interest in laboratory auditing and equipment calibration. The role involves regular UK and international travel (up to 20 weeks per year) to support a diverse client base, ensuring consistent quality and compliance across laboratory operations worldwide.Typical assignments range from day visits within the UK to overseas trips of up to three weeks, covering destinations such as the USA, Brazil, Vietnam, and India. Travel is fully supported, with arrangements and expenses handled by the company. UK travel may involve using company pool vehicles, so personal car use is not required.Comprehensive training will be provided, including enrolment in recognised auditing qualifications (ISO 9001 or ISO 17025).Key ResponsibilitiesCalibrate testing equipment to client specificationsConduct laboratory audits to internal and client standardsAssess laboratory staff in testing methods and processesPrepare audit reports and calibration certificates within tight deadlinesManage multiple client projects, ensuring requirements are fully understoodPlan and coordinate overseas trips efficiently and profitablyWork collaboratively with colleagues on travel arrangements, including risk assessments, visas, accommodation, flights, and local transportLiaise with other departments to support project deliveryComplete specific accreditation processes (e.g., Leather Grading)Promote and champion company services and products during client interactionsPerson SpecificationEssential:Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 20+ weeks per year)Strong technical knowledge and eagerness to learn new skillsExcellent time management, self-motivation, and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to support an international client base via phone, email, or in-personProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)Full UK driving licence and valid passportDesirable:Auditing experienceRecognised auditing qualification (ISO 9001 or ISO 17025)Calibration experienceKnowledge of laboratory quality systemsHands-on laboratory testing experienceExperience of international business travelPractical/mechanical skillsAdditional languages (e.g., Chinese, Spanish, Vietnamese, Thai)Benefits2530 days annual leave (service-related)Life assurance and group personal pension planIncome protectionFree parking and flexible working hoursAdditional financial compensation for extended business travelApplication Deadline: 7th January 2026Interview Date: 15th January 2026TPBN1_UKTJ
