We are Footprint are looking for a Telehandler Operator for our clients construction site in Catterick Garrison.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers safely and efficiently on various construction and industrial sites. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, commercial driving experience, and familiarity with excavators. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Duties

* Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials accurately across the work site

* Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety and operational readiness

* Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate attachments and techniques

* Coordinate with site managers and other operators to ensure smooth workflow

* Maintain a clean and organised work environment around the machinery

* Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues promptly

* Support with the operation of excavators when required, adhering to safety protocols

Requirements

* Proven experience in commercial driving and operating telehandlers in a construction

* CPCS or Npors card

* Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting

* Valid driving licence suitable for operating heavy plant machinery

* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to machinery operation

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

* Good organisational skills with attention to detail
