Telemetry Engineer

Location: Warrington (Minimum 3 days onsite, remainder remote)

Contract: Initial 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)

Hours: Flexible 40-hour week (Typically 8:00am – 4:00pm)

Start Date: Immediate


About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Telemetry Engineer to join our team on an initial 12-month commission, with strong potential for longer-term placement for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting the configuration, commissioning, and quality assurance of telemetry systems across multiple critical infrastructure projects within a specialist technical environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of telemetry configuration tasks to meet commissioning and QA deadlines
  • Configure telemetry systems in line with project requirements
  • Interpret Process Line Diagrams to design accurate and effective telemetry graphics
  • Configure telemetry outstation points according to submitted schedules
  • Set up additional metadata fields to support regulatory reporting
  • Maintain smooth operation of live telemetry systems while implementing changes
  • Produce as-built configuration packs for audit and archiving
  • Support end-to-end site telemetry commissioning alongside site-based operatives
  • Manage handover and onboarding of tested points into live ICC operations
  • Produce detailed handover reports for audit purposes
  • Diagnose and resolve configuration faults during commissioning


Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong working knowledge of telemetry systems
  • Understanding of regulatory and industry standards relating to water security
  • Previous experience working with telemetry systems in a commissioning environment
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Familiarity with EICA disciplines (desirable)
  • Working knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, telemetry systems, and networking fundamentals
  • Understanding of system integration and configuration processes


Qualifications

  • Degree, HNC, or HND in a relevant discipline
  • Siemens certification or training (preferred)
