Temporary School Caretaker - Newcastle30 Hours per weekASAP Start3-Month Temporary AssignmentA busy and well-respected school in Newcastle is seeking a Temporary School Caretaker to join their team on a 30-hour-per-week basis.This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, hands-on individual who takes pride in ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained school environment.The role is due to start immediately and will run for approximately three months.Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general site maintenance, repairs, and upkeep
• Open and secure the school premises, including setting alarms
• Conduct regular health & safety checks and ensure compliance
• Assist with cleaning duties as required
• Manage deliveries, move furniture, and support with school events
• Respond promptly to any maintenance or site issues that arise

Requirements

• Previous caretaking or maintenance experience (school experience desirable)
• Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Good understanding of health & safety procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and able to start ASAP
