Job Description
Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:\n\nTest Engineer - NVH / Infotainment Systems - £34/hr (Inside IR35) - Warwickshire - 12 Months\n\nDuties:\nThis role is responsible for the hands-on testing of automotive infotainment systems, with a strong focus on active NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) technologies at both system and subsystem levels. The ideal candidate will have an execution mindset, taking ownership of test delivery and driving results through rigorous validation and problem-solving.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n- Plan and execute test programmes for infotainment systems, particularly those involving active NVH technologies.\n- Ensure all testing is aligned with automotive quality standards and specifications.\n- Identify issues and drive improvements in system and subsystem performance.\n- Define and apply testing specifications for new and existing infotainment components.\n- Document test procedures, configurations, and results with clarity and precision.\n- Continuously improve and automate test methodologies to enhance efficiency and repeatability.\n- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and NVH specialists to ensure integrated system validation.\n- Set up and maintain test rigs and environments for infotainment and audio system validation. \n\nSkills:\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n- Strong background in testing automotive infotainment systems, ideally with experience in active NVH technologies.\n- Execution-focused approach with the ability to manage and deliver test programmes independently.\n- Proficient in debugging and analysis using tools such as:\nWireshark\nVector tools (e.g., CANoe, CANalyzer)\nPutty\nMedia converters\nJTAG flashing\n- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols:\nCAN\nEthernet (Some IP)\nA2B (Automotive Audio Bus)\n- Experience with audio systems and rig setup for validation.\n- Excellent documentation and communication skills.\n- Full UK driving licence required.\n\nEducation:\n- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.\n- Master's degree but not essential, especially if complemented by strong hands-on experience in infotainment or NVH testing.\n- Additional certifications in automotive communication protocols, embedded systems, or audio engineering are advantageous.\n\nAdditional information:\nThis role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.\nRole Purpose - Maternity cover\n\nThe services advertised by Premea Limited for this vacancy are those of an Employment Business.\nPremea is a specialist IT & Engineering recruitment consultancy representing clients in the UK and internationally within the Automotive, Motorsport and Aerospace sectors
