Testing Electrician / Approved Electrician | Commercial PPM & EICR | London & Surrounding Areas | £22–£23 per hour + Overtime + Van + Package | Realistic earnings circa £60,000
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Approved Electrician to join a well-established Electrical Contractor delivering commercial PPM, testing, and maintenance works across London and the surrounding counties.
The business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality electrical services across the commercial sector, with a stable pipeline of long-term contracts.

The Role – Approved Electrician (PPM & Testing)
This is a dual-role position combining electrical testing (EICR) with planned and reactive maintenance, offering a varied and engaging workload.
You will be responsible for carrying out:
* Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) across commercial properties
* Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Reactive maintenance and fault finding
* Electrical installation and remedial works
* General electrical duties across a range of commercial environments
This role offers excellent variety, with the expectation that you will carry out testing when required, and support with maintenance and installation works when testing workloads are lower.
Working Pattern & Overtime

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (daytime hours)
Additional earning opportunities include:

Evening work (when required) paid at x1.5
*
Saturday work paid at x1.5
*
Sunday work paid at x2
*
Callout rota with £100 standby payment
On occasions where evening works are scheduled, hours may be adjusted across the week (e.g. condensed into a 4-day working pattern).
Realistic earnings circa £60,000 based on overtime and rota participation.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
* ECS Card
* Full UK Driving Licence
You must be confident working independently in a mobile role and comfortable carrying out both testing and maintenance duties.
Remuneration Package – Approved Electrician
* £22 – £23 per hour (based on 40-hour week)
* Company van (including personal use, if applicable)
* Tools and electrical testing equipment provided
