We are looking for a skilled TIG Welder/ Fabricator to join a busy workshop in Bolton. This role is hands on and involves working with stainless steel sheet fabrications as well as other metals. You’ll be producing high quality fabricated items according to engineering drawings and specifications in a fast-paced, professional environment.
This position is available on a temp to perm basis, with the option to work via CIS if . Offering long term employment for the right candidate. Hours: 37.5 hrs/week, Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (some weekend work may be available) Overtime rates applied to hourly rate if over the normal working hours.
Tig Welder/ Fabricator Duties:
* Perform TIG welding and other welding methods on sheet metal, including Stainless Steel.
* Fabricate and assemble metal parts using both hand and power tools.
* Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production.
* Operate and maintain welding and fabrication equipment safely.
* Measure, cut, grind, and fit components to precise specifications.
* Work alongside the team to meet production schedules and deadlines.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
Tig Welder Fabricatior Requirements:
* Time served , but Semi Skilled applicants with proven on the job and relevant experience will also be considered.
* Proven experience in TIG welding working with stainless and sheet fabrication.
* Strong understanding of metal fabrication tools, techniques, and workshop practices.
* Ability to accurately interpret and work from technical drawings.
* Good mechanical aptitude and basic maths skills for measurements and quality checks.
* Committed to quality, safety, and team collaboration.
* Must quality check work to reduce the need for rework.
