We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Lead (Maternity Cover) to lead, innovate, and deliver world-class talent acquisition strategies that support our ambitious growth and workforce transformation.
This fixed-term opportunity is a fantastic chance to lead and shape the recruitment agenda in a key division of DS Smith, delivering both strategic and hands-on impact.
What You’ll Do
As our Talent Acquisition Lead, you’ll be accountable for delivering global hires across TMS and Lead on all aspects of diverse talent attraction within TMS globally.
Your role will also include:
Engaging with HR & the Business to create and implement a talent acquisition strategy to deliver a strong diverse hiring pipeline to improve business performance.
Design and implement Recruitment Operations for TMS including process, training and system, vendor management, compliance, standardisation, candidate experience, data & analytics
Partner with HR and Business leaders to understand workforce planning and resource forecasting
Support the development of the Employer Brand to attract the best talent
Maintain up to date knowledge of recruitment best practice and industry innovations for the business to maintain competitive edge.
Implement recruitment standards to guide business with minimum expectations for hiring, prospering selection and interview governance
Design and implement framework for psychometric assessments using in-house competency framework, including ideal profiles for generic roles.
About you
Experience in leading recruitment across complex, multisite and global services environments, with hiring exposure in multiple jurisdictions.
Skilled in direct sourcing, workforce planning, and employer branding, with a strong grasp of regional compliance and inclusive hiring practices.
Proven track record in designing and implementing recruitment operations frameworks, including systems (ideally Workday), vendor management, and compliance.
Certified in competency-based frameworks and psychometric assessments through providers such as Korn Ferry, CEB or SHL.
Data-driven and commercially aware, with the ability to manage KPIs, recruitment metrics, and cost efficiency.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; able to influence and collaborate effectively across HR and business functions.
Organised, detail-focused and confident working at pace, delivering high volumes while maintaining excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.
Proficient in MS Office (especially PowerPoint) and ATS platforms (preferably Workday).
Strong experience in a senior talent acquisition or resourcing role in a global, change-driven setting.
