Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for a Tool Maker within the Plating area. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.

This Tool Maker position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, fabrication, maintenance, and repair of precision tools, jigs, and fixtures used in the manufacturing and assembly of aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tool making.

Role Responsibilities will include:

Operate both manual and CNC machine tools, including milling machines, lathes, and grinders, as well as hand tools. Use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments. Responsible for the manufacture, service and repair of tools, assembly jigs and fixtures during the development of new products and support of existing products. Manufacture of tools against drawings, sketches and verbal instructions. To give advice on tooling design and manufacture for tools used in Assembly, Machining, Plating and NDT operations.
