A well-established manufacturer in Mildenhall, Suffolk, is growing its team to keep up with rising demand and is looking for a skilled Toolmaker to join their workshop team. This is a hands-on role focused on the manufacture, maintenance, and improvement of production tooling in a supportive and well-equipped environment.

What's the pay & hours?

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £33,000 to £42,000 per annum, depending on experience. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00.

Toolmaker Duties:

Manufacture, modify, repair, and maintain production tooling and fixtures Work with traditional toolroom and workshop machinery Support production by troubleshooting tooling issues and implementing improvements Assist with tooling trials, testing, and fault finding Carry out preventative maintenance to ensure tooling reliability and longevity Maintain accurate documentation relating to tooling and maintenance activities Work within ISO quality and regulatory standards Attend occasional UK/international travel for project-related work Participate in relevant training courses to support ongoing developmentWho are we looking for?

We're interested in candidates with a strong toolmaking background who enjoy hands-on engineering work.

Ideally, you'll have:

Proven experience working as a Toolmaker or within a toolroom environment Experience using toolroom/workshop-based machinery A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Toolmaking, or equivalent hands-on experience A proactive, self-motivated attitude and strong teamwork skills Confidence with written and verbal communication, including MS OfficeWhat are the benefits?
